BBQ Ranch Ore-Ida Totchos

Image
Anyone who knows me knows I love starches, especially of the potatoes variety. Fried, baked, boiled, mashed - anyway you can cook it, I'll eat it. (This once would have included the liquor variety known as the all powerful Vodka but I'm not a fan any longer after having a baby.)  If you grow a garden and potatoes are in that garden, call me because now you're my best friend. I'm like a crazy cat lady but my passion is for potatoes. I think that sums up my love for potatoes the best way.  When I received my coupon for free Ore-Ida tater tots from Influenster, I was way too excited. I immediately went to the grocery store and picked up the tater tots and basked in their glorious frozen glory and concocted a recipe. Since I love bbq ranch fries with jalapeños, why wouldn't I love BBQ ranch tater tots with jalapeños?  It's all very simple to make. All you need are: 1- 2lb package Ore-Ida tater tots 1/4 cup ranch dressing 1/4 cup Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce 1/4 cu

Cetaphil Review

Image
In my Jingle Vox Box I received a sample of Cetaphil moisturizing lotion. I use it when I get out of the shower to help boost my other moisturizing lotion.  Here are my pros and cons list.  Pros: It does feel like it's moisturizing.  It goes on smoothly.  Cons: After applied, it feels hard and "tacky." The smell is not very appealing to me personally.  After the hard, tacky feeling fades, it moves to oily.  Unfortunately, I think the cons outweigh the pros, but that's just my opinion. Maybe everyone else likes it.  I've heard it's really good for a baby's skin so I may try it on Danger. He's breaking out but his life did just have a drastic change. So, if it helps with his skin issues, I may just change my opinion.  I received this product for free from Influenster but all opinions are my own.  Until next time.

Jingle Vox Box

Image
I received this month's Vox Box from Influenster Saturday. I'm actually glad it was a week late due to holiday shipping. If I had received it on time, it would be gone. I needed a box of sunshine.  The first item in my Vox box was an Ittsy Bitsy by Hallmark. So needless to say, Danger got a new toy. It was a Frozen Olaf. He's been toting it all over the house along with Teddy.  The next item was three packets of Biscoff cookies. I enjoyed mine with some Cafe du Monde coffee before church this morning. They taste really good and are even better soaked in coffee. They are made with 100% natural ingredients and I can actually pronounce, which is a great bonus. I've found my breakfast for the next couple of mornings.  The third item was some Pure Ice nail polish. I lost so many of those in the fire so I'm happy to start my collection back with this. The color is "Bikini" and it's a really nice pale blue which would be great for winter (even though ironical

Salt Dough Ornament

Image
I decided to make myself and the grandparents an ornament for Christmas. It was kind of a pain and long process but so worth it. I say it was a pain because someone kept poking holes in the dough with his tiny fingers. Precious, tiny holes. To make these ornaments you will need: 1 cup flour 1/2 cup salt 1/2 cup water Paint (optional) Something to cut circles out with (I used a candy jar lid) Ribbon Paint brush for poking holes  Mix the flour and salt in a bowl. Add a little water at a time. You don't want to use the whole 1/2 cup because you may not need it all. I used about a 1/4 cup. The consistency should be slightly sticky but not too sticky that it  sticks to your hands.  Roll out the dough to your desired thickness.  Cut out circles and design how you see fit. I used Danger's hand prints.  Use the wooden end of a paint brush to poke a hole in the top of your ornament.  Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and bake at 200 degrees for 3-4 hours. I made some of mine pretty thi

Chicken Alfredo with Ragu Vox Box Review

Image
In addition to the Sure Deodorant and Annie's Tomato Soup, I also received a free jar of Ragu Alfredo sauce. Naturally, I decided to make a chicken Alfredo with it. It's super simple and easy to make.  All you need is: 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1 tbs butter 1 (1 lb) jar Ragu Classic Alfredo sauce  8 oz. cooked & drained Fettuccine  Salt Pepper Garlic powder Onion powder First, dice your chicken into small, thin strips.  Season with salt, pepper, garlic, & onion. Set aside until ready.  Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.  Add in chicken and cook until done.  Remove chicken and set aside.  Stir your sauce into the skillet. Lower heat to low and cover. Let simmer until heated through.  Serve the chicken and sauce over the fettuccine.  Enjoy!  Super simple, not time consuming, nice when you don't have the ingredients to make alfredo, & extremely tasty.  I received this product free for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.   Until

Sure Deodorant Review

Image
In addition to my Annie's Home Grown Soup in my Influenster comfort Vox box, I also recieved a sample of Sure Deodorant. I loved it! I usually break out when I try something new, but I haven't yet. That's a good sign. It has a nice, clean, fresh smell to it. It also has 48 hour protection which is nice when you're chasing an eight month old all around your house. It applies smoothly and stays smooth all day.  I recieved this product free from Influenster but all opinions are my own. Until next time.

A Review of Annie's Home Grown Organic Soups

Image
I recieved a package of Annie's Organic Tomato Soup in my Influenster Comfort Vox Box this month. I have to admit, I don't care for tomatoes unless they have something on this. My exception is soup, but then again it's masked with other flavors when it's in a soup.  I must say, my expectations of this soup were not very high. I mean, it came in a box. How good could it be? I'm so glad I was wrong. This soup was very tasty and creamy. I did doctor it up with some herbs to my preferred tasting.  I ended up adding garlic powder, oregano, and parsley.  I understand why they good people at Annie's don't add too much flavoring. It's geared towards children. This little boy loves it.  Of course he didn't get my doctored up version, but he enjoyed it all the same.  I paired my doctored up version with some of Annie's white cheddar bunnies and a grilled cheese.  To learn more about Snnie's Home Grown Organics, you can visit annies.com.  I recieved thi

Infusium23

Image
I always get really excited when my Vox Box from Influenster arrives. I was lucky enough to be selected for the Sunshine Voxbox. The Sunshine Voxbox included Barkthins, Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Mosturizer, Dickersons Witch Hazel facial wipes, Sinful Colors nail polish, Sriracha Blue Diamonds Almonds, & Infusium 23 Moisturizer Leave-in Smoothing Creme.   I love the Infusium 23. Every since I started dying my hair one color instead of doing highlights, my hair feels almost like hay. Luckily, it doesn't look as dry as hay. This makes it very hard to comb out once I get out of the shower. (Never brush your hair when it's wet, btw. That's a good way to get split ends. Hence, the comb.)  After I started using the Infusium 23, it's been much easier to comb out. It helps keep my hair smooth throughout the day and I think I'm even noticing a hint of shine.  I've really enjoyed this Voxbox and can't wait for the next one.  I received these products free but a
